Welcome to Pacific Oceanworks
Our goals are to be the bridge between academia, science and the public, and to protect our ocean resources for future generations.  We are a dedicated group of individuals, including marine biologists, educators, divers, graduate students, and concerned public.  We live and dive in Southern California, from the Channel Islands to Baja.  We are people that don’t mind rolling up our sleeves and getting a little messy for a good cause.

Our research is funded by several entities including; the Resources Legacy Fund Foundation, the San Diego Unified Port Authority, the PADI Foundation, Marissa Dive Charters, and private donations.   Additional technical support for our projects comes from NOAA Southwest Fisheries Science Center, and Scripps Institution of Oceanography.  Worthy organizations that we support include; Pro Peninsula, Aquatic Adventures, Reef Check.org, REEF.org, and the San Diego Oceans Foundation.

For more information regarding our projects or how you can be involved, please contact us.

All photos of endangered species on this website were taken under NMFS endangered species permit #1591 during research.
